It sprinkled in Tucson on the Mid/East side of town.
I went outside and ran around in the yard with our community Mallards. _________________ Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life. - Rachel Carson |

We had a great full blown thunderstorm last night with rain and all! The light show was great. Hope the rest of you got to enjoy it, too.
Looks like there might be a few more in the forecast! |

We got thunder and some lightning but didn't see a drop of rain. Probably all evaporated before it got down to us! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Very windy here but not a drop of rain. They said somewhere in Gilbert did, not me. _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)

No rain in Tucson, whatsoever, no action, but at least it's cloudy and the temperatures are great! _________________ Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life. - Rachel Carson |

For the second year in a row the Tucson area received significant precipitation on the Thursday before Memorial Day. What are the chances of that happening two years in a row during what is usually the driest month of the year? Last year there was even some snow at the higher elevations. I can't see any snow in the Santa Ritas right now but I can only see up to the 8,000' level as the peaks are still obscured by clouds.
Looks like today's rainfall was very widespread and there are some pretty good rainfall totals for this time of year:

Mt. Lemmon got almost an inch! Hopefully today's rain will recharge the streams and jump start the summer wildflower season. Woo-hoo!
