Go to www.webmd.com. Search on "Neti Pot" spelled that way and up will come much info about them and websites that sell them. One of the articles mentions that a bulb syringe type device will work as well.
Actually a few months ago I happened to be watching Oprah (oh God I hate to admit that) when her favorite doctor was giving advice on many things. He did mention and demonstrate the Neti Pot and he liked it because it was a natural solution not involving use of any drugs with potential side effects (like loss of hair, ears, eyes, behind, etc.). |

This is the worst year ever for rotten air, allergies, sinus issues. I have been almost disabled by the wind and sinus migraines,,,had 3 last week and one sent me home from work on Saturday. If you've never had one of these monsters , it's hard to believe how it can just flatten you. I have not been able to do anything outdoors or even work out. if this pollution keeps up, I may be moving to higher ground somewhere. Netti pot helps, but still need drugs. I hate not being able to go "out there"! WaaaaH. |

My wife uses a small humidifier with a facial shield. She turns it on, puts her face on the shield, and breathes the humid air for 10-15 minutes. She really likes it. Me, I use spicy food to clear mine out. _________________ Anywhere is within walking distance if you spend the time. |

My wife's Allergy Doctor has her use a special attachment on a waterpik and irrigate her nose with a distilled water saline solution every morning & evening. It helps.
When we travel she has a little bottle system (Ocean?) that does the same thing. Ask your pharmacist. _________________ Anyone can make a hike harder. The skill comes in making it easier. Dosatéhigo nasádo |

Ocean is good to use as it is a natural saline solution. You can also make your own saline solution with sea salt and water but need to check with a pharmacist on the ratio~~~~too strong and you can totally dry out your nose and sinuses. Once you get the saline solution made, you have to snort it (and yes you will gag) but it works!!!

If all the natural remedies do not work for you, I simply use Nasonex an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid spray directly into the nares. Need a script, but I only need it 2-3 weeks out of the year when my allergies get so bad it causes a sore throat. _________________ You can never eat too much candy... |

I use a nettie pot. I got mine at Whole Foods. Not sure if Phoenix has a Whole Foods or not, but you can also get it at Wild Oats. I also use it when I am sick and have a sore throat. Feels refreshing to clean good to clean all my nasal passages out. I let it run into my throat as well. _________________ Mountains are there to be climbed!

Nettie pots are getting pretty popular... I see them in lots of places. Walgreens and CVS I believe have them. some are plastic and some are ceramic. I guess depends on what you are looking for. _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)

This has definitely been my worst few months since I've lived here for alergies. Nose is half clogged 6 days a week. Usually worse at bedtime for some reason. Makes me breathe through my mouth the whole night and end up with chapped lips and a sore throat everyday. Haven't taken much for it though, never had any problems in the past. |
