I received, as I'm sure others have, the Hart Praire project for Volunteers of Outdoor Az. It stated that fire restrictions were in place. Did I misread this?, is this an error on their part?, or are there already restrictions in place? |

Must've been a mistake, according to the Coconino NF website, there are NO fire restrictions at this time.

Cindy-
Part of Hart Prairie is privately held by the Nature Conservancy. If that's the area where the volunteer work is slated, maybe the Nature Conservancy has initiated their own fire restrictions on their land.

The buzz from the Forest Service, from my insider buddy in Alpine, AZ, is that they may very well start fire restrictions, not unlike last year's, by Memorial Day Weekend. Ugh . But if it helps prevent another Rodeo-Chediski, I guess I'm OK with it.

Good point Nealz. I hate to see restrictions also but am for anything that save us from a year like last. Thanks to both for the input. |
